LaCorda Tsukimori x Hino Dolls

Konban ha, Min'na sama!!! We made these dolls last Christmas (2006) but haven't had a chance to post up much of anything here lately! Thanks for still watching us! Doumo arigatou!

This is the first of 7 couples from the beautiful anime/game "La Corda d'oro" (Kiniro no Corda) that we've made using Volks of Japan 11" and 10" Custom Dolls. We decided to make their Concours concert outfits (tuxedos and gowns) rather than their school uniforms, and of course, we couldn't forget their musical instruments! Those were actually the most difficult part in making the dolls---finding 1/6 scale instruments for them. ^^
Tsukimori Len and Hino Kahoko both play the violin, but I only managed to find one 1/6 scale doll violin that also came with a bow. For Hino, I purchased a set of 1/6 scale violin Christmas ornaments and then copied Tsukimori's bow, making a duplicate for her. I think it turned out pretty well even though it's handmade.
Both dolls have hand rooted hair and handpainted faces. I used the SH-08 head on Tsukimori since I think it's the most handsome and beautiful face for a male anime character and looks exactly like his shape/style. (You can tell he's my favorite, ne? For Hino, I used the SH-03 head, which is perfect for almost any anime character, as it can be both cute and pretty at once.
